Tour Overview
This fantastic walk sets off from the peaceful village of Llanberis and takes in plenty of diverse scenery and terrain, while avoiding the more demanding climbs found on the mountain route. Although this option is the more low-level of the two Snowdon Round routes we offer, this walk still delivers plenty of engaging variety as it crosses high moorlands and broad glacial valleys, rewarding walkers along the way with a vast range of amazing, far-reaching views.
As well as the beautiful scenery that the Snowdonia National Park is famed for, the Snowdon Round also visits a selection of wonderful little towns and villages, each with their own unique charm and history to explore, making this a diverse trail filled with new discoveries at every turn.
Passing through former slate villages and disused quarries and experiencing the unique slate heritage of North Wales. Being rewarded with breath-taking views of Snowdon, the Nantlle Ridge and the Glyderau and Carneddau mountain ranges. Walking through the spectacular steep-sided glacial valleys of Nant Gwynant, Ogwen Valley and Nant Francon.
