Accommodation in Reykjavík
The South Coast of Iceland has so much to offer and to be seen. This part of the country is very rich in magnificent and diverse landscapes, ranging from vast farmlands, active volcanoes, numerous ice caps, glacier outlets and Glacier Rivers, amazing waterfalls, wide black sandy plains and beaches of black and fascinating basalt rock formations.
Highlights include Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfall, Reynisfjara black sand beach, the village of Vík and breathtaking views of glaciers and mountains.
Accommodation in Skaftafell
You can debate which is the bigger highlight, Jökulsárlón with its floating ice bergs (which is the first stop of the day) or the shimmer blue light inside the ice caves (which is the second stop), but you will certainly get up close and personal with a lot of glacier ice today! After visiting the ice cave, we stop again at Skaftafell National Park with its amazing scenery of mountains and glaciers.
We then head back to Reykjavik, looking out for the Northern Lights on our way back.
We return to Reykjavík between 21:00 and 23:00.
