Breakfast at the hotel and departure to discover Ostuni, called the White City, with its medieval village rich of narrow streets and houses, in a maze as a reminiscent of an Arab casbah. It will be a real pleasure to walk the old city, which will offer picturesque views of alleys, steep stairways, courtyards and small squares overlooked by white houses embellished with geraniums, craft shops, typical restaurants and small stores. The fifteenth-century Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral stands at the centre of the village featuring a large 24-ray rose window of rare beauty. Continuation to Otranto, a magical and unique place, with white houses and paved streets. Hotel accommodation in Lecce and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Manduria, the Land of the Messapi and the renowned Primitivo of Manduria Doc wine. By walking alongside the remains of the triple city wall, you can imagine the time when the Messapi dedicated themselves to the breeding of horses and prepared to leave in battle against the Tarantini. Not to miss a visit to the Wine Museum which cannot but round off with wine tasting. Continuation to Polignano a Mare, a medieval village perched at the top of a high and jagged coast, being the birth town of the great Domenico Modugno, one of the fathers of the Italian pop music, author, and performer of songs such as “Volare” which are the fruit of inspiration intimately linked to the emotions that only these places can arouse. Polignano fascinates with its historic city centre full of Arab, Byzantine, Spanish and Norman traces, such as the remains of the four defense towers that surrounded the ancient part of the town.
