Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a full day tour to Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain.
One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the magnificent Christ the Redeemer, the iconic statue at the top of Corcovado Hill. Cerro del Corcovado is part of the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. On the way to its summit is the Doña Marta viewpoint, from where it is possible to see the Maracanã Stadium, the famous Guanabara Bay and the beautiful SugarLoaf Mountain. Once at the top of Corcovado Hill, it is possible to admire impressive views of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Botanical Garden. This tour leaves from the hotel after breakfast. After a scenic walk along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, guests arrive at the bottom of Corcovado Hill. They board a comfortable train up the mountain and arrive at the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Once at the top, they can use the panoramic elevators or the escalators to reach the foot of the statue. After that, they descend the mountain and head to Sugar Loaf Mountain, where the two stages of the cable car merge to reach the top of the hill. Every year, more than one million tourists visit the internationally famous SugarLoaf Mountain, an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The trip to the top is made in glass cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to the top of Cerro Urca, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay. At that point, passengers take the second cable car to the top of SugarLoaf Mountain, which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360-degree view of the entire city, including the beaches of Botafogo and Copacabana, Corcovado Mountain and downtown Rio.
