Two of the most famous sights in Rio de Janeiro are at your fingertips on this day‐long tour. Sugar Loaf and Corcovado Mountains, including the impressive Christ Redeemer statue overlooking the city should be at the top of your list, and Gray Line Rio de Janeiro is the perfect guide for your day. First thing in the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken through downtown Rio for a panoramic tour. See the Sambodromo, stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and discover the Cinelandia Square and its wealth of historical buildings. The Municipal Theater, National Library, and National Museum of Fine Arts are all on your way as well as you head toward the Urca neighborhood, home of SugarLoaf Mountain. Ride the iconic cable cars all the way up the mountain, stopping at Urca Hill and its vantage point overlooking Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio‐Niteroi bridge and Corcovado Mountain. Finish your ascent to the top of SugarLoaf, enjoying gorgeous views of the Copacabana beach and Santa Cruz Fortress. Enjoy lunch at a barbecue house before you head over to the base of Corcovado Mountain via the Cosme Velho Train. Ride through the lush and dense Tijuca rainforest to the towering Christ Redeemer statue. Standing guard over the city of Rio, the statue has a fascinating history—your tour guide will share all the secrets with you, before you head back to the hotel.

Breakfast. Depart on a full day tour to Petropolis.
The city of Petropolis is located 60 km away from Rio and has been called the Imperial City since the times of the Emperor Pedro II. Settled by the Germans, Petropolis keeps the memory of Brazilian history alive with its buildings and charming streets. This tour starts with the visit to the Imperial Museum, which has been the summer residence of the Emperor D. Pedro II and keeps furniture and objects such as the crown of gold, pearls and diamonds used by D. Pedro I and D. Pedro II. The tour will continue to the Gothic Cathedral where Princess Isabel was buried along with the tombstones of D. Pedro II and his wife. From there you will see the Crystal Palace, built in France, and mounted in Brazil, destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel.

The Inhotim Institute began to be idealized by Minas Gerais businessman Bernardo de Mello Paz from the mid-1980s. Private ownership has transformed over time, becoming a unique place with one of the most relevant collections of contemporary art in the world and a botanical collection that gathers rare species from all continents. Get to know how the first capital of Brazil was born on this fantastic ride to Salvador. The itinerary begins at Fort Santo Antonio, where the beautiful Farol de la Barra is the starting point of the most popular Carnival trip: the DOD circuit (District of Barra / Ondina). We continue from the Historic Center to Pelourinho, for a pleasant walk for what is considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity, meeting churches, museums, the Jorge Amado House Foundation and the Lacerda Elevator, with a privileged view of the Bay of All Saints and of the Lower City.
