Private transfer from the airport to your hotel and visit to the city of La Paz. Visit the Colonial Jaén street, which is one of the best-preserved colonial streets in the city. The tour continues to Plaza Murillo, where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress are located. Afterwards, a walk through the Mercado de las Brujas offers a fascinating window into the secret world of Andean mysticism. Later, visit the typical market Rodriguez, the largest food market in La Paz, the variety of products is as colorful as the attire of the local women who sell them. Without a doubt, a must in La Paz is to travel by Teleférico to enjoy fantastic views and to finish the tour, visit the spectacular Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon), which has strange geological formations.
Overnight in La Paz
Breakfast at the hotel. First thing in the morning, transfer to Copacabana. Brief visit to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Copacabana, and then board the Catamaran Cruise and sail to the Island of the Sun, enjoying a snack on board. On this legendary island, cradle of the Inca Empire, we visit the Garden, the Stairs and the Inca Fountain, later the itinerary includes the visit to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, the main private tourist attraction in Bolivia, including the Ekako underground museum, the traditional medicine and reed raft construction centres, the Pachamama terraces of Inca agriculture, a handicraft centre, the Intica shelter and the largest variety of Andean camelids located at the “Manco Kapac” viewpoint. The visit to the Inti Wata Complex also includes the unique experience of sailing aboard a huge typical Totora raft and a panoramic visit to the Inca palace of Pilkokaina. We will board the catamaran again and then continue sailing, enjoying a buffet lunch and the majestic panorama of Lake Titicaca. In the afternoon, we arrive at our port for a road transfer to La Paz and then to the airport.
Transfer from Uyuni airport to the Salt Hotel.
Overnight in Uyuni
Hotel pick-up. Departure to the Salar to visit the town of Colchani where it is possible to observe the process of salt extraction by hand and the local salt crafts. Visit to Playa Blanca, salt museum, the salt eyes, interesting because they are the exit points for the underground water of the salt flat; the salt hexagons, geometric shapes on the surface of the salt flat, piles of salt and we will cross the salt flat to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Picnic lunch at the Salar. We continue with the visit to Incahuasi Island. This island is in the heart of the Salar and is the largest of a group of islands that represent an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated by a kind of cactus that can reach up to 12 meters high, providing an impressive view of the place. Finally, transfer to Uyuni airport.
