Guests will be transferred to the airport to take a flight from Cusco to Lima and then from Lima to Quito, Ecuador.
Welcome to Quito! A representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have free time to explore the city or relax and settle in.
Take a walk-through bustling streets and squares of the largest historical old town in the Americas; a multi-ethnic, artistic and a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. The tour includes the Gothic Basilica of the Heart of Jesus, Independence Square, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the street of the Seven Crosses, the Jesuit convent, El Sagrario church, the Jesuit temple of La Compañía de Jesús, and the majestic San Francisco Square.
Towards the north, we arrive at the Middle of the World Complex which holds the Equator Monument situated at 0º0’0” latitude and in it, a Museum of Ethnicity of the Peoples in Ecuador. The complex replicates the Spanish colonial architecture with a typical central plaza, a church, and bull-fighting ring.
Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Depart to the Galapagos in a 2:30-hour domestic flight arriving at Baltra or San Cristobal Airport to later be transferred to the port to embark the vessel.
Every day there will be two guided visits to new places, with a hike through natural paths and close encounters with blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, lazy sea lions, marine iguanas, albatrosses or fast-swimming penguins, sharks, or marine turtles next to you in the snorkeling or diving activities. Other optional activities include glass-bottom boat rides and kayaking for a more relaxed marine sightseeing. All our guests will return to the ship for a varied lunch-buffet and free time to relax by the pool, sun terraces or Jacuzzi in our open decks when we arrive at our next visit. There will also be an al-fresco BBQ for the ultimate Galapagos experience. After dinner, there will be a short but entertaining lecture about next day excursions followed by free time to relax or join an onboard activity.
On the last day, breakfast will be served earlier than usual to take advantage of the morning and take part in the last excursion. Guests will take a flight back to Quito or Guayaquil. Once in the mainland, one of our representatives will transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay.
If taking an international flight, there will be a transfer to the airport in Guayaquil.
You could also extend your stay in Ecuador with other land tours we can offer you.
